BJJ East London & Essex - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Classes For Adults & Kids

Extra Competition Training – Message From Arlans

Following the club’s adventure to Lisbon and the lessons learned. Arlans has decided that, in preparation for the British Championships, he will be putting together an additional programme to assist the fighters intending to compete in the competition or increase the intensity of their training.

This is an optional programme it is NOT compulsory and will be delivered predominantly at the Edmonton Academy but is for both Edmonton and Hoddesdon based students. It will not be fun or easy, but will be effective.

The programme will be an eight week course, that will include 3 extra 60 minute sessions per week, designed to bring you to a physical peak in readiness for the competition on 2nd and 3rd April 2011 and will commence (subject to sufficient interest) on Tuesday 8th February 2011.

The programme will NOT include core BJJ techniques, but will be designed to develop the following:

Strength Conditioning Grip Training Explosive Power

Please note the following points:

  1. If you commit to this programme it will be expected that you will attend all sessions (which are hoped to take place prior to normal training on Tuesday’s, Fridays and some Saturday/Sunday mornings)

  2. It is intended to bring in some specialist coaches, nutritionists etc., so there will be an additional cost of approx’ £25 per month which, equates to around £2 per additional session.

  3. The programme is not intended to replace your current training but to be additional to it.

  4. This is by no means a compulsory programme and you can still compete at the championships without partaking in it.

  5. Lastly and probably the most important, this will not be an easy course, it is designed to produce the best fighter/competitor you can be on the day, so you will not be able to say to yourself “if only”

The purpose of this note is to gauge the interest in the programme. If you are interested in participating with truly committed team mates to be the best that you can, please email “info@arlanssiqueirabrazillianjiujitsu.co.uk

or call Andrew on 07725 544867 by no later than Sunday 6th February 2011.

Thank you.
